Mitzvah Food Pantry

The Workmen’s Circle launched the Mitzvah Food Pantry in 2005. In that time many families in need have been able to live with honor and dignity. We have provided canned and boxed food, paper products and toiletries to help these families support themselves. In 2009 we partnered with the Cleveland Food Bank and are now able to help even more families in need. We are proud of our success, and we see the need to do much, much more.

Our food pantry is located at 2490 Lee Boulevard, Suite 300B in Cleveland Heights and it is run by volunteers and supported with contributions from our membership and the community.

All recipients are treated with the utmost confidentiality.
If you would like to make a donation of non-perishable food items or if you are in need or know of someone in need, please call Kristen or Sharon at (216) 381-4515.

New Support Group Meetings At Workmen’s Circle

Overeaters Anonymous Meetings

OA meetings will be held on Wednesday mornings from 9 - 10 a.m. beginning Wednesday, August 31. Overeaters Anonymous offers a program of recovery from compulsive eating using the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of OA. Meetings provide a fellowship of experience, strength and hope where members respect one another’s anonymity.  OA is not just about weight loss, weight gain or maintenance, or obesity or diets. It addresses physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. OA welcomes everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively.

Women’s Wisdom Work Circle Meetings
The Women’s Wisdom Work circle will meet on alternate Tuesday evenings. This is a group committed to providing information and support to women from all walks of life, with the purpose of empowering them to thrive and live a self-referred life. We are looking for women from all parts of the community who have had challenges and overcome women who are currently being challenged, and women who would like to share their stories of hope and courage. This is a bi-monthly facilitated gathering, and the group will be closed once we reach capacity.  The Women’s Wisdom Work Circle is free, and we will have refreshments available, as well as child care, and reading materials and resources.
